Privacy Policy
The short version
Pond Consulting does not collect personally identifiable information from you. We do not ask for your name, email address, telephone number, postal address, Social Security number, account number, or any other information that identifies who you are.
The figures you enter are used only to calculate an amortization schedule and, if you request one, to create an Excel, CSV, or PDF file. We do not store those figures, the results, or the exported files.
Who we are
The Smart Loan Amortization Calculator is operated by Pond Consulting. In this policy, “Pond Consulting,” “we,” and “us” mean Pond Consulting. You can reach us through pondconsulting.biz.
What you enter
The calculator accepts a loan amount, an interest rate, a term, a first payment month and year, and optional extra payments. When you calculate or export, those values are sent to the server so it can do the arithmetic and return the schedule or the file.
That processing happens in memory for the length of the request. We do not write the values into a database, an account, a customer list, or a file that we keep. When the response has been sent, we do not retain a copy of what you entered, what the schedule showed, or the file you downloaded.
Do not type your name or anyone else’s name, or any other identifying information, into the calculator. We do not want that information, and the fields are not there to receive it.
What we do not do
- We do not create user accounts.
- We do not charge you, and we do not collect payment-card or bank details.
- We do not sell, rent, or trade information about you.
- We do not use your loan figures for advertising or to build a profile of you.
- We do not keep the Excel, CSV, or PDF file after it is delivered to your browser.
Your own browser or device may keep the page in its history and may keep a file you download. That copy is yours. It is not a copy held by Pond Consulting.
Cookies and similar tools
A strictly necessary security cookie is set so the calculator form can be submitted safely. It is not used to identify you or to follow you across other websites.
The site uses Google Analytics to understand which pages are visited and what kind of browser and device visitors use. Google may receive a cookie identifier and your IP address. We use those reports to understand traffic. We do not use them to identify you by name. Google’s own policy is at policies.google.com/privacy, and Google describes data from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
The site also uses Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on visits to this site and to other sites. You can control personalized advertising at Google’s Ads Settings and at aboutads.info/choices.
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser. If you block the security cookie, the calculator form may not submit.
Technical logs
The service that hosts the site may keep ordinary technical logs, such as an IP address, the date and time, the browser type, and the address of the page requested. Those logs are used to operate and protect the site. We do not use them to identify you, and we do not configure the site to record the loan figures you submit.
Children
The site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Security
We use HTTPS and limit the site to the calculation described above. No website can promise that transmission or storage will be perfectly secure. Because we do not keep your loan figures, there is no calculator record of yours sitting in our systems after the calculation finishes.
Visitors from outside the United States
If you use the site from another country, technical data such as an IP address may be processed in the country where the site is hosted and by Google, as described above. Pond Consulting still does not collect your identity and still does not store the figures you enter.
Changes
We may update this policy by posting a new version on this page and changing the effective date. Your continued use of the site after that date means you accept the updated policy.
